Simple smoothie - strawberry
Smoothies are one way to eat more fruit
Smoothies only take a few minutes to make. They are also a fun way to get children interested in fruit and involved in the kitchen.
Ingredients - Serves 2 Adults
- 160g / 5 oz. of frozen strawberries
- 62g / 2 oz. of low-fat natural yoghurt
- 90ml / 3 fl oz. of semi-skimmed milk
- 4 ice cubes
- 90ml / 3 fl oz. of unsweetened orange juice
Method
- Make sure all the ingredients are chilled before use
- Wash the fruit
- Blend fruit, yogurt, milk and juice together using a hand held blender or a smoothie maker until creamy
- Add ice cubes and blend again
- Pour into two glasses and serve immediately
