Planning cities to promote physical activity

A new report from the World Health Organisation examines the options and strategies for transforming public spaces to promote physical activity in cities.

The report focuses on how physical activity can be supported through urban planning. Urban planning is the planning, design and regulation of the uses of spaces in cities. The report examines existing initiatives and case studies of urban planning that promote physical activity to provide guidance on how planning can promote physical activity.
