Do you underestimate the amount of calories in your food?

A recent US based cross-sectional study has found that people eating at fast food restaurants underestimate the calorie content of the meals, especially large meals. Results from the study, which consisted of over 3000 diners, found that at least two thirds of all participants underestimated the calorie content of their meals, with about a quarter underestimating the calorie content by at least 500 calories.
