Low-calorie sweeteners

Research has shown that low-calorie sweeteners can reduce calorie intake and aid weight control in healthy adults when used instead of sugar. However, people who use low-calorie sweeteners need to be careful that they do not compensate for the reduced calories by increasing their calorie intake from other food and drink.

Further information about low-calorie sweeteners is available on the EUFIC website. Further information about losing weight is available on weigh2live.
