All-island Food Poverty Network

The aim of the All-island Food Poverty Network is to support a co-ordinated and strategic approach to tackling food poverty on the island of Ireland through the development of consensus on related issues, collaboration and shared learning. Formed in 2009, the Network is co-chaired by safefood and The Food Standards Agency, Northern Ireland.


The Network is made up of a group of representatives from government departments and agencies and NGOs who all have a common interest in reducing food poverty on the island of Ireland. Membership is open to organisations with an interest in coming together on a regular basis to network, share experiences and knowledge as well as working to build the evidence base, to help address the issue of Food Poverty on the island.
