Vacancy: Human Resource and Compliance Executive

Friday 12 April, 2019. safefood is an all-island implementation body set up under the British-Irish Agreement with a general remit to promote awareness and knowledge of food safety and nutrition issues on the island of Ireland. Our activities include:

  • Promotion of food safety
  • Research into food safety
  • Communication of nutritional advice
  • Promotion of scientific co-operation and laboratory linkages
  • Provide independent scientific advice
  • Deliver consumer focused review

Applications are invited for the following permanent position in our Cork office. 

Human Resource and Compliance Executive

Reporting to the Corporate Operations Manager, the successful candidate will provide advice and assistance in a number of areas which will include HR, pensions, equality, Freedom of Information, Data Protection and Health and Safety.  They will be responsible for researching current legislation and best practice guidance in order to prepare policies and procedures to ensure safefood’s corporate governance standards are maintained.  

Qualifications and experience

Applicants must have business / HR related degree and / or a relevant professional qualification.  They must have at least three years’ experience, be able to demonstrate HR generalist knowledge as well as the ability to research and implement policy to maintain legislative compliance.


€29,931 - 46,074 (NPPC). 

The appointment will be made at the minimum of the scale.
