Across the Island of Ireland and beyond, a vast amount of work is being carried out in the area of nutrition. From research to clinical activities, health promotion to policy development, there is much to be learned from the outcomes of these activities and the experiences of those involved.

We want to support collaboration and communication within the nutrition field, especially within the island of Ireland.  This has led us to develop the Nutrition Exchange Programme, which is now running in its third year.   The programme enables dietitians and nutritionists to host a seminar or to spend time in another department or conference within the Island, or elsewhere.  As an all island organisation, safefood strongly promotes cross border exchanges and visits.

The programme offers individuals the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and share experience and expertise. safefood will fund a limited number of applications from those working in the field of nutrition on the Island of Ireland. Selection of successful applicants will be on a competitive basis.
