Knowledge Network Facilitators
In 2004, safefood established a number of research networks on specific food safety themes in order to facilitate an integrated approach to food safety research and establish a network of food safety professionals on the island of Ireland (IOI). These networks ran for a period of five years until March 2009 and proved successful in meeting their objectives.
safefood now wish to expand this approach to further enhance the integration of the food safety and food behaviour capacity on the IOI. A key objective of this new approach is to maximise the potential of the networks by broadening participation to a wider range of professional groups working in the area of food safety and food behaviour on the IOI.
