safefood is one of a number of public service organisations active in food safety and the related areas. We are working closely with these organisations to provide a seamless, accessible service for those interested in food safety.

While safefood provides advice and guidance, the enforcement of food safety regulations is handled separately in the north and in the south. For further information on regulatory matters you can contact the coordinating enforcement bodies at the Food Safety Authority for the Republic of Ireland and the Food Standards Agency NI for Northern Ireland.
