Poached Eggs

Poached EggIngredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 dessertspoon of vinegar
  • pinch of salt if desired
  • pepper
  • 1/2 pt/250ml water
  • 4 dessertspoons milk

 

 

Method

  1. Put the water into a saucepan or frying pan, add the salt, pepper and vinegar. Bring to the boil.
  2. Break the eggs into the boiling salted water.
  3. Simmer gently until the eggs are set (this takes about 2 - 3 minutes).
  4. Serve with toast and beans.
