Turkey pie
Ingredients
- 1lb / 500g cooked turkey cut into chunks
- 8oz / 225g puff pastry
- 1 tin chicken soup
- 1 tin mushroom soup or natural yoghurt
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice2 onions
- salt and pepper
- milk or beaten egg to glaze the pastry
Method
- Mix the turkey, soup, natural yoghurt, peas, lemon juice, onions, salt and pepper and turn into a casserole dish
- Roll out the pastry to about 1 inch thickness and cover the casserole
- Glaze the pastry with milk or beaten egg
- Bake in the oven at 200oC / 400oF / gas mark 6 for 25 minutes
- Serve hot
