Baked raisin apples
Free from wheat, gluten, dairy, eggs, yeast & nuts
A tasty sweet recipe using apples, this recipe is suitable for those with a wheat, gluten, dairy, egg or nut allergy or intolerance.
Ingredients - Serves 4 Adults
- 4 large apples
- 85g / 3 oz. of maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons of chopped raisins
- 1 tablespoon of dairy-free margarine
- ½ teaspoon of cinnamon, optional
Method
- Preheat the oven to 220⁰C / 425⁰F / Gas Mark 7
- Core the apples and score the skin around the middle using a sharp vegetable knife
- Combine and mix the syrup, raisins and cinnamon (optional) in a small mixing bowl
- Place each apple on aluminum foil and stuff its core with the filling
- Spread a little of the margarine over the top of each apple
- Wrap the foil securely around the apples and bake in the oven for 35 minutes
Serving Suggestions
Serve with dairy-free cream or dairy-free custard

Use heavy-duty aluminium foil to ensure the foil can fully support the weight of the apple
