biotoxinThe safefood Networks not only aim to bring together members of the industry, government / regulatory bodies and the research community to encourage information exchange, but also aim to provide training in state-of-the-art technologies which can be utilised within the food supply chain.

A technical workshop for the detection of biotoxins and chemical residues in food will be held at Queens University, Belfast on 1st June 2011. This workshop will cover a range of techniques including immunological methods, spectroscopic techniques and ‘omics’. The workshop will include theoretical and practical sessions, along with examples of relevant applications for the aquaculture industry.
