Pre-school handwashing poster

safefood have developed a hand washing poster and song to help make hand washing fun for children and a part of their daily routine both at preschool and at home.

Hand washing prevents the spread of harmful bacteria and we hope that, with your help, each child in pre-school will learn how to wash their hands properly and get into the habit of washing their hands after messy play, before they eat and after they use the toilet. This will help them develop a healthy habit for life.

The simple song is sung to the tune of Row, Row, Row your Boat and the poster clearly illustrates the four basic steps to washing your hands properly – soap, rub, rinse and dry.
